The Pelosi family has a net worth of nearly $12.5 million as of 2008, largely from investments. In addition to their large portfolio of jointly owned San Francisco Bay Area real estate, the couple also owns a vineyard in St. Helena, California, valued between $5 million and $25 million. Pelosi’s husband also owns stock, including $1 million in Apple Computer, and is the owner of the California Redwoods of the United Football League. Pelosi continues to be among the richest members of Congress.

It reads like a dream order for some wild frat party: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.

But that single receipt makes up just part of the more than $101,000 taxpayers paid for “in-flight services” – including food and liquor, for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trips on Air Force jets over the last two years. That’s almost $1,000 per week.

Fox and Friends

This morning on Fox and Friends it was stated that Barrack Obama is a “historical” president and because of that he deserves the respect of the GOP at the Obamacare summit. The reasoning behind this historical presidency was presented as not what Obama has accomplished in first year, or the fact he was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize; it was because he is of African American dissent.  I am floored bay the audacity of such a comment. When will people in this country look past the color of this mans skin and judge him on his accomplishments as every president has since George Washington?

Jacksonville police are looking for 72 Year Old  Norman Butler Jr. missing since Saturday. Butler suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and was also taking medication for a heart condition. Butler was last seen driving his green pickup truck to thrift town on Saturday. I have a heart, this guy needs help. Why the hell does the Sate of Florida allow people with Alzheimer’s operate a motor vehicle?

Health costs to rise again 

Insurers to boost rates about 10%; Shift of expenses to workers likely

“The higher insurance costs undermine a key tenet of the state’s landmark health care law passed two years ago, as well as President Obama’s effort to overhaul health care. In addition to mandating insurance for most residents, the Massachusetts bill sought to rein in health care costs. With Washington looking to the Massachusetts experience, fears about higher costs have become a stumbling block to passing a national health care bill.”

This is exactly the trap we are falling into. All the wrangling in Congress and all the hype by an inept President is causing panic in the insurance industry. I employ 20 people and our insurance rates went up 13% in January. I can no longer afford to pay for employee benefits 100%. My employees are now paying 13% of the cost.

Single payer system by the government would undercut private plans in effect moving 10’s of millions of people into the government system in hopes of lower cost healthcare. The cause and effect is the same as Medicare, where Doctors are paid less for the Medicare services over private insurers. The question is the service a Medicare recipient receives any less than that of a private insurer. My guess is the service level is the same and the availability of service is less.

Back to my point, big government healthcare system, fewer providers, fewer private insurance carriers equals a sick and weak country. Mr. Obama, stay out of my business and do what your supposed to do. And that is:

1. Protect me and my family from the bad guys that want to kill me because I am a Christian
2. Build an infrastructure to move goods and services between the 50 great states that make up this union.
3. Otherwise stay the hell away from everything else.

We all knew it could happen, we just choose not to care, the apathetic populous that we are.

Nikita Khrushchev’s  great quote “we will bury you” says it all. Later (August 24 1963) Khrushchev explained it this way “your own working class will bury you”. A reference to the Marxist saying, “The proletariat is the undertaker of capitalism“, based on the concluding statement in Chapter 1 of the Communist Manifesto: “What the bourgeoisie produces, above all, are its own grave-diggers. Its fall and the victory of the proletariat are equally inevitable”. That famous quote in 1956 is here today.

Fast forward to 2008 and election year where the promise of change swept across this great land. The working class beat down the elitist CEO’s and big business. The working class beat down the small business owners that employ more than 50% of them. Yes, the working class made a huge impact on America.

We sell our debt to China, England, France, Spain, Germany and any other taker we can find. We import our oil from the very people that teach their children to kill infidels as part of their religious teachings from the Koran.

We continue to build, not a great nation independent of the world, but a nation of debtors that will succumb to the powers that own us and our energy.

China will sanction the United States of America, not because we support a nation of 23M people with military arms, because they can. They own us! Don’t think so….start looking at the labels of origin and count how many things you own MADE IN CHINA. While your at it include those Treasury notes you bought.

Taiwan: Population 23M, Military 308,000 strong, Military budget 7.5B
China: Population 1.325B Military 2.8M strong, Military budget 81.5B

The sale of 280M to Taiwan still leaves China with a significant upper hand.
